To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many people have been diagnosed with autism in each of the last ten years.

The information requested isn’t held centrally. Some relevant information, drawn from the Mental Health Service Data Set, is published by NHS England in the Autism Waiting Times Statistics. However, this data only represents a partial picture of the numbers of people who are referred for suspected autism and are recorded with an autism diagnosis following an assessment.
