To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many fixed penalty notices have been handed out for school non-attendance in (a) Lincolnshire and (b) England in each of the last five years.

The department collects information from local authorities on penalty notices issued for unauthorised absence. No data was collected for 2019/20 due to the pandemic. Attendance at school was heavily disrupted in 2020/21 and for two months measures were disapplied when schools were not open to all pupils.
