Respiratory Diseases: Screening

Asked by Jim ShannonDemocratic Unionist PartyDepartment of Health and Social CareTabled Answered 19 December 2024UIN 20211

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what estimate he has made of the number of spirometry tests carried out in Community Diagnostic Centres in each of the last five years.

Answered by Andrew Gwynne

The Department does not currently hold validated data on the number of spirometry tests carried out in Community Diagnostic Centres. NHS England publishes data quarterly detailing the total activity carried out in Community Diagnostic Centres nationally, although this does not include activity by specific test type.
