The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what discussions her Department has had with Essex County Council on achieving its Vision Zero target by 2040; and whether she plans to make additional funding available for local casualty reduction schemes.

There have been no discussions between the Department for Transport and Essex County Council on achieving its Vision Zero target by 2040. Decisions on funding will come at the conclusion of the current spending review.
