Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government: Special Advisers

Asked by Kevin HollinrakeConservativeMinistry of Housing, Communities and Local GovernmentTabled Answered 10 March 2025UIN 34280

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, whether she has appointed a foreign affairs adviser.

Answered by Alex Norris

As set out on gov.uk, the Deputy Prime Minister’s role includes acting in support of the government's international agenda.

While the Deputy Prime Minister does not have a specific foreign affairs adviser, officials in the department are working closely with officials in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and the Cabinet Office to ensure she has the necessary support to carry out that role.
