Sure Start Programme

Annual expenditure figures for the Sure Start programme are published in the following reports:

This report includes an annual breakdown of Sure Start expenditure for the period between 2004/05 and 2009/10.

Since April 2010, local authorities have reported expenditure on Sure Start children’s centres through annual section 251 returns. The department does not maintain records of annual Sure Start expenditure figures adjusted for inflation.
