The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, how many new Personal Independence Payment claims her Department has received in the last 12 months.

Between February 2024 and January 2025, there were a total of 979,100 New Personal Independence Payment claims registered. Of these, 889,300 were New Claims and 89,800 were reassessments from Disability Living Allowance.
