Asked by Alan MakConservativeDepartment for Science, Innovation and TechnologyTabled Answered 2 April 2025UIN 41102

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, whether his Department has undertaken a valuation of the data held by the NHS.

Answered by Chris Bryant

Each public sector body is responsible for understanding the value their data holds for our society. The Value Sharing Framework for NHS data partnerships outlines the principles the NHS should follow to set fair terms for accessing NHS data. The Rose Book provides guidance on how in-scope public sector bodies should manage knowledge assets, including data.
