Visas
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to the Answer of 3 April 2025 to Question 42061 on Visas, if she will make it her policy to record the means by which a person becomes liable to removal when their visa expires.
Answered by Dame Angela Eagle
If an individual’s visa expires, and they have no other legal basis to remain in the UK, that will generally be the reason they become liable to removal.
