The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, with reference to the oral contribution of the Prime Minister of 21 May 2025, Official Report, column 1018, on changes to eligibility for the winter fuel allowance, when she expects the Office for Budge

The Government wants to expand eligibility for Winter Fuel Payments, recognising the goals of supporting these pensioners, meeting need and of sustainable public finances. Any change will be announced to Parliament in the normal way.
