British National (Overseas): Oppression

Asked by Helen MaguireLiberal DemocratHome OfficeTabled Answered 9 June 2025UIN 56499

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, with reference to her Department's review on the UK's response to Transnational Repression, whether she had discussions with the 10 bountied Hong Kongers residing in the UK.

Answered by Dan Jarvis

The safety and security of Hong Kongers in the UK is, and always will be, a priority. Owing to the sensitive nature of this topic and the need to protect individuals who may be at threat, it would be inappropriate to provide further detail of any specific discussions we have had.
