Cleveland Police

Asked by Matt VickersConservativeHome OfficeTabled Answered 8 September 2025UIN 71302

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many additional police officers have been deployed in Cleveland Police since July 2024.

Answered by Sarah Jones

The Home Office does not hold the data requested.

The Home Office collects and publishes data biannually on the number of police officers, as at 31 March each year, in the ‘Police Workforce, England and Wales’ statistical bulletin which can be accessed here: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/police-workforce-england-and-wales.

Table H1 of the data tables accompanying the publication includes the number of police officers available for duty by Police Force Area which excludes police officers on long term absence. Monthly breakdowns, including a figure for July 2024, however, are not available.
