To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment he has made of the potential merits of requiring a) all certification bodies involved in vehicle approvals to be formally listed as designated Technical Services under UN ECE regulations and b)

I am satisfied that that the current type approval regime ensures that only reputable and trustworthy entities are involved in the certification process.
