To ask the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, whether her Department has met representatives of the Smartphone Free Childhood campaign to discuss parental concerns about children’s access to smartphones and social media.

DSIT officials regularly engage with a range of stakeholders to discuss a variety of issues including parental concerns concerning children’s access to smartphones and social media.
Creating a safer online world for children is a priority for this government and we are committed to continue working with campaigners like Smartphone Free Childhood, civil society and industry to achieve this goal.
