To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, if her Department will make an assessment of the potential merits of requiring the publication of the numbers of all animals involved in any form of animal research, including those bred but not used.

The Home Office is currently reviewing the potential merits of recording and reporting the number of animals that were bred for, but not used, in scientific procedures.
