The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, with reference to her Department’s press release entitled New UK Aid for displaced people in Lebanon as Minister visits Beirut, published on 16 April 2026, what steps his Department is taking to ensure that UK funding contributes to the restoration and resilience of essential infrastructure, including housing, water and sanitation services.

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and our partners have robust processes in place to ensure we maximise the impact of our humanitarian funding and mitigate any risks.
