Schools: Finance

Asked by Jim ShannonDemocratic Unionist PartyDepartment for EducationTabled Answered 28 April 2026UIN 129096

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what assessment her Department has made of the potential impact of inflation on school budgets in this academic year.

Answered by Georgia Gould

Education is a devolved matter, and the response outlines the information for England only.

Every year, the department publishes the ‘Schools’ costs technical note’, which analyses mainstream schools’ funding and costs, taking into account the impact of inflation, for the current and future financial years.
