To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what information his Department holds on the number of women in England who experienced (a) one, (b) two and (c) three or more miscarriages in each of the last five years.

The Department does not currently hold the data requested on women in England who experienced one, two, three, or more miscarriages in each of the last five years, given that the majority of baby losses occur outside of healthcare settings. However, the National Health Service has updated its digital record standards on maternity and now records pregnancy outcomes, including miscarriages, for all women in contact with NHS maternity services. Additionally, the planned introduction of the new Single Patient Record will provide an opportunity for improved data capture.
