Palantir: Disclosure of Information

Asked by James MacClearyLiberal DemocratMinistry of DefenceTabled Answered 22 May 2026UIN 1453

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what data do Palantir’s Forward Deployed Engineers have access to within the Ministry of Defence.

Answered by Luke Pollard

Forward Deployed Engineers only have access to the data needed to undertake their specific tasks, they do not have unrestricted access to Defence data. Access is strictly limited, approved and controlled by the Ministry of Defence through role-based permissions, contractual safeguards and oversight arrangements, with all data remaining sovereign to the Department, and under the Department’s control at all times.
