The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is actively monitoring the situation and is supporting the passengers’ clinical and public health assessment and isolation.
UKHSA has taken the lead in providing regular updates to the public through broadcast media interviews, daily briefings, and blog publications. These communications aim to provide reassurance and address concerns identified online and across social media platforms. UKHSA is also monitoring potential disinformation themes and providing factual updates in response.
UKHSA has also undertaken widespread and sustained engagement with national and regional partners, including briefings for Members of Parliament, local authorities, and the local resilience forums to help provide updates and respond to any concerns.
