Occupational Therapy: Surrey
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment his Department has made of the effectiveness of occupational therapists in implementing care plans as quickly as possible in community settings in Surrey.

The Department has not made a specific assessment of the effectiveness of Occupational Therapy services in Surrey.
However, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has a legal duty to assess how well local authorities are delivering their duties under the 2014 Care Act. The Department has made a range of support available to help local authorities improve in response to the CQC's findings. Ultimately, my Rt Hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, has legal powers to intervene where failure is identified.
