The question

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, whether she has had discussions with the Environment Agency on their decision to remove opposition to new housing developments that would be connected to the Oxford Sewage treatment works in Oxfordshire.

Answered by Lucy Rigby

The Environment Agency is an operationally independent regulator sponsored by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. The Chancellor has not had discussions with the Environment Agency on this decision.
