To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what discussions she has had with the Secretary of State for Education regarding the treatment within the immigration system of care leavers formerly looked after by local authorities in the context of enforced removals; and whether it is her Department’s policy to prohibit the enforced removal of care leavers from the UK.

The Home Office continues to engage with the Department for Education regarding the treatment within the immigration system of adult care leavers formerly looked after by local authorities in the context of enforced removals.
There is no prohibition on the enforced removal of care leavers from the UK. People who require, but do not have, leave to enter or remain in the UK are expected to leave the UK. If they fail to do so, the Home Office will enforce their removal.
