Government Departments: Disclosure of Information
The question
To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, with reference to the Answer of 2 March 2026, to Question 113721 on Government Departments: Disclosure of Information, what is the expected timetable for the conclusion of the review by the Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA); which Department will receive the report; and whether the report will be laid before Parliament and published on gov.uk.
Answered by Nick Thomas-Symonds
The Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA) expects to issue a draft report of its findings to the Cabinet Office and Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) by the end of June. In line with standard practice for GIAA reviews, and given the sensitivity of the report, we do not intend to lay it in parliament or publish the findings.
