To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many people were convicted of more than (a) 25 shoplifting offences, (b) 50 shoplifting offences, (c) 100 shoplifting offences, (d) 150 shoplifting offences and (e) 200 shoplifting offences in the past two years.

There was one offender with more than 25 but fewer than 50 sentencing occasions where the primary offence was shoplifting across 2024 and 2025. No offenders had 50 or more qualifying sentencing occasions.
The sentencing occasions in which shoplifting was recorded as the primary offence include the following offence codes: 04600 (stealing from shops and stalls), 04601 (stealing from shops and stalls - value under), 04602 (stealing from shops and stalls value over).
