The question
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether the high streets organised crime unit will publish an annual report on its activities and outcomes.

The High Streets Organised Crime Unit has been established to develop a strategic policy response to money laundering and associated criminality on the UK high streets, including tax evasion, illegal working and tackling the systemic vulnerabilities that criminals exploit.
The Unit is working to identify where stronger powers, improved data sharing, and better cross-agency coordination may be required to prevent criminality from taking place in the first place. It will develop policy recommendations to inform the forthcoming High Streets Strategy, led by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and the Home Office and HM Treasury-led Anti-Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Strategy. The Unit will publish a final report with its recommendations later in the year.
