The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to increase awareness of (a) stroke risks, (b) stroke signs and (c) support for stroke survivors and their families.

In 2024, NHS England launched an Act FAST campaign to increase knowledge of the main signs of a stroke and to encourage people to dial 999 immediately in response to any of those signs. Information from this campaign continues to be shared and promoted by the local National Health Service.
The National Stroke Service Model provides best practice for stroke care, including post-discharge, which should include comprehensive rehabilitation and personalised care and support.
The National Stroke Quality Improvement in Rehabilitation programme is also helping to transform community-based care by increasing access to specialist stroke rehabilitation at home.
