To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, with reference to the Fourth Report of the Joint Committee on the National Security Strategy of Session 2024-26 on The National Security Strategy, HC 1045, published on 27 March 2026, what progress she has made in enabling closer cooperation with the EU to tackle hybrid threats.

The EU is a key actor in countering hybrid threats, assisting its members to strengthen resilience, facilitate information sharing and provide practical support. The UK and EU undertook to hold strategic consultations on hybrid threats as part of the 2025 Security and Defence Partnership agreement. Following the inaugural consultation in September 2025, the EU and UK continue to share strategic and policy expertise in countering hybrid threats seeking to undermine European security and democracy.
