The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, with reference to the fourth report of the Joint Committee on the National Security Strategy (CP1338), published on 24 June 2025, what progress has he made in bringing new creativity to UK international partnerships in technology.

Answered by Kanishka Narayan

DSIT plays a central role in delivering the National Security Strategy by helping to ensure the UK’s science and technology base is secure, resilient and aligned with national security objectives.

Since its publication, the department has strengthened its international partnerships in priority technologies to support UK growth and security, including through strategic science and innovation partnerships with Germany and the Netherlands and the UK-Japan Industrial Strategy Partnership.
