To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what assessment she has made of the adequacy of UK Visas and Immigration processing times for overseas performers in light of the three-month limit on submitting visa applications.

UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) processes visa applications made overseas in line with published customer service standards. For temporary work and visit visa routes, those commonly used by overseas performers, applications are usually processed within 3 weeks following the submission of biometrics.
UKVI also offers a range of expedited services including priority (5 working days), and super priority (next working day), where available, to support faster decision making.
Processing times are based on the UK working week (Monday to Friday) and include public holidays in the UK. Further information can be found at Visa decision waiting times: applications outside the UK - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) and this is regularly updated.
In addition, eligible performers may be able to travel using an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), which provides a faster option for short‑term visits.
All visa routes are currently operating within published service standards. UKVI recognises the importance of timely decisions and continues to prioritise urgent, compelling, or compassionate cases where appropriate.
Most visa applications can be submitted up to 3 months in advance of the intended date of travel. This approach balances flexibility for applicants, including overseas performers, with the need to ensure that decisions are based on up‑to‑date personal circumstances, supporting both effective customer service and the security of the UK border.
