Driving Licences: Electronic Government
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the Answer of 18 May 2026 to Question 1463 on Driving Licences: Electronic Government, when the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency will complete the work on bringing online services to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines level AA status.
Answered by Simon Lightwood
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency’s (DVLA) online services currently adhere to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and work to bring all services to WCAG 2.2 level AA status to attain full compliance with the most recent accessibility requirements is scheduled to be completed by February 2027.
As well as achieving compliance, the project will establish a sustainable, future-proof process to ensure that accessibility standards are maintained and updated in line with any subsequent changes to WCAG requirements.
