The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many Youth Rehabilitation Orders were breached in the past year; what the consequences of those breaches were; and how many of those breaches resulted in the offender being (a) imprisoned and (b) remanded in custody.

It is not possible to provide data on the number of Youth Rehabilitation Orders (YROs) that were breached in the past year, the consequences of those breaches, or the number of children remanded in custody following a breach, without incurring disproportionate cost. While information on outcomes following a breach is available in some cases, where the outcome is unclear, it would be necessary to obtain information from individual youth justice services.
It is possible to provide data on the number of breach proceedings that resulted in a custodial sentence. In the year ending December 2025, 27 custodial sentences were imposed on children following a breach of a Youth Rehabilitation Order.
