Judicial and Legal Diversity Board
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what the total cost was of the first meeting to the Judicial and Legal Diversity Board; and what the estimated total cost will be of that Board in its first year of operation.
Answered by Sarah Sackman
The first meeting of the Judicial and Legal Diversity Board incurred no additional costs beyond staff time. This meeting was held at the London Tribunal Centre and made use of existing conference facilities in an operational HMCTS building.
The Board is supported by existing Ministry of Justice and Judicial Office staff, and activities are being delivered within existing departmental and Judicial Office resources. No additional running costs are currently expected in the Board’s first year of operation beyond staff time and minimal incidental expenses.
