The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many staff members are employed solely to support his work as Deputy Prime Minister; and what the total cost is of their combined annual salary.

The Deputy Prime Minister is supported by an Office of Deputy Prime Minister which coordinates work across departments and supports on the delivery of the Deputy Prime Minister’s priorities. There are currently 11 departmental staff members in the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister with a total annual salary cost of £979,049.76
