To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what steps her Department is taking to support access to electric vehicle charging infrastructure for residents without access to off-street parking.

The Government is committed to accelerating the roll-out of affordable and accessible charging infrastructure so that everyone, no matter where they live or work, can make the transition to an electric vehicle.
To support drivers of electric vehicles without off-street parking, the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) Fund is expected to deliver over 100,000 further local public charge points.
A further £25 million was made available to English local authorities through the EV Pavement Channels Grant. This supports residents without access to off-street parking to charge their EVs on the street outside their homes, and to benefit from cheaper domestic tariffs by enabling charging cables to run safely across the pavement.
