To ask the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, with reference to his Department’s press release entitled Government and Wayve sign partnership to accelerate Britain’s self-driving future, published on 12 May 2026, what recent discussions he has had

There have been no recent discussions between Secretary of State for Business and Trade and Secretary of State for Transport on self-driving vehicle pilots, and we are not aware of any company currently planning self-driving vehicle pilots in Essex.
