To ask the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, what steps he is taking with the Office for Investment to align the strategic site identification process with available grid headroom for industrial developers.

The SSA programme is currently undergoing Treasury approvals. The team is developing a final site selection approach and supporting methodology to identify and assess suitable sites. This includes considering grid connectivity and available headroom as part of the overall assessment, where relevant. The Office for Investment is also working to align this process with wider work on connections, including the connection accelerator service, to help ensure a coordinated approach for industrial developers.
