Asked by Ben Obese-JectyConservativeMinistry of DefenceTabled Answered 8 June 2026UIN 4891

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the press releasee entitled DE&S helps Royal Air Force's newest aircraft fleet reach full-service capability, published by the National Armaments Director Group on 2 August 2022, what progress has he made in modifying the Envoy IV fleet with military upgrades since July 2024.

Answered by Luke Pollard

The RAF Envoy IV continues to provide Command Support across a range of air mobility tasks. The MOD is considering several options to expand its future capability, including the incorporation of a number of military modifications to enable operations in non-benign airspace, but the work is currently paused whilst other activity has been prioritised.
