Navy: Uncrewed Systems

Asked by Ben Obese-JectyConservativeMinistry of DefenceTabled Answered 8 June 2026UIN 4930

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the answer of 16 April 2026 to question 124255 on Navy: Uncrewed Systems, which autonomous systems have been a) developed and b) adopted via the Maritime Big Play programme.

Answered by Luke Pollard

Maritime Big Play is focussed on technology standards and solutions that will facilitate tri-lateral AUKUS interoperability of uncrewed systems. The intended outcome is the provision of clear recommendations to ensure that the nations are able to operate together as a hybrid-force of crewed and uncrewed platforms and systems.
