Department for Work and Pensions: Departmental Responsibilities
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what his Department's timetable is for completing its annual business planning process.
Answered by Andrew Western
In accordance with planning and performance guidance issued by HMT and Cabinet Office to all government departments (detailed guidance which supplements the government’s planning and performance framework - GOV.UK), DWP have completed their annual business planning process for the financial year 2026/27 concluding with the Permanent Secretary issuing Delegated Spend Authority Letters and the production of a three-year Strategic Plan covering 2026-2029. The plan has been signed off by Secretary of State and submitted to HMT and Cabinet Office.
