Answered by Simon Lightwood
The Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) is responsible for creating noise maps, and associated Noise Important Areas, as part of implementing the Environmental Noise (England) Regulations 2006. These road noise maps and the associated Noise Important Areas can be viewed online here: http://extrium.co.uk/noiseviewer.html
There are two Noise Important Areas along the M25 within Woking constituency:
- NIA 1285 – M25 section around Gorselands Close, Byfleet
- NIA 14887 – M25 section around Holly Bush Stables, West Byfleet
