The Ministry of Defence Police (MDP) is required to maintain a set of core capabilities to support the Department. This includes Uncrewed Aerial System (UAS) and Counter Uncrewed Aerial System (C-UAS) capability.
The MDP operates CPM Wilson and Watson drone jammers at priority Defence locations.
A comprehensive Counter UAS (C-UAS) approach is vital to safeguard the public, protect critical infrastructure, and to enforce the law. As the threat landscape evolves, it is crucial for the (MOD) to adapt and strengthen its C-UAS capabilities to effectively counter emerging threats and protect national security. Policies are in place to ensure C-UAS activities comply with legal, safety, and security requirements.
