To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what progress has she made in delivering the national programme to replace the existing NPAS aviation fleet.

Since Home Office funding for the National Police Air Service (NPAS) Fleet Replacement programme was confirmed in February 2025, NPAS have been leading implementation to ensure successful delivery.
The delivery of nine replacement police helicopters into the national fleet is progressing well, with the first new H135 T3H aircraft expected to enter full operational service in 2027, and all nine aircraft to be rolled out in the months that follow.
The first two aircraft arrived in the United Kingdom from Airbus’s manufacturing base in Germany in April 2026. One aircraft is currently undergoing modification, during which specialist mission equipment is being installed to convert the baseline aircraft into an operational police helicopter. The second aircraft is supporting initial familiarisation and training for NPAS pilots and crews. A further two aircraft are due to arrive in the UK for modification in June 2026.
