The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, what progress he has made on introducing a replacement to the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme.

By the time the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) closes in 2028 it will have disbursed around £3.4 billion to over 1,400 projects, building invaluable experience and capability across a wide range of sites and building types. This will allow decarbonisation to be mainstreamed into the estate plans of public sector bodies using their own resources or private finance.

The Government is committed to building on the existing progress made through PSDS and is looking at ways to incentivise the public sector as a whole to take steps to decarbonise.
