British Transport Police: Unmanned Air Systems

Asked by Ben Obese-JectyConservativeDepartment for TransportTabled Answered 8 June 2026UIN 5129

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, how many a) CPM Wilson-Plus and b) CPM Watson-Plus drone jammers have been procured for British Transport Police.

Answered by Keir Mather

The British Transport Police (BTP) are operationally independent, and procurement decisions are a matter for the force based on their operational requirements. BTP have confirmed that they have procured drone-jamming technology but for security reasons it would not be appropriate to disclose the specific model.
