This Government has cut red diesel duty to its lowest level in over 20 years, easing pressure on farm businesses.
Defra is working with farmers to give access to Government tools to boost efficiency of fertiliser use and consulting on plans to change fertiliser rules to back British farming.
The reformed Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer opens to applications later this month.
The new Farming and Food Partnership Board will drive growth, productivity and long-term profitability across the farming sector.
Later this year the Government will publish its response to Baroness Batters’ independent Farming Profitability Review and the 25-year Farming Roadmap, setting out the long-term direction for farming.
