Cost of Living: West Dorset

Asked by Edward MorelloLiberal DemocratTreasuryTabled Answered 3 June 2026UIN 5236

The question

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what assessment she has made of the impact of inflation on food costs in West Dorset.

Answered by Torsten Bell

The Office for National Statistics does not publish inflation statistics at the level of individual constituencies such as West Dorset. At the UK level, consumer price inflation (CPI) for food and non-alcoholic beverages fell from 3.7% in March to 3.0% in April.
