The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what is the timetable for the laying of secondary legislation on the change to the postal vote application deadlines.

Secondary legislation intended to support the absent voting system will be laid following Royal Assent to the Representation of the People Bill. Subject to parliamentary time, it will be brought forward at the appropriate point to support the electoral timetable.
