The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what recent discussions she has had with the Ghanaian government on freedom of expression in that country.

The UK regularly discusses the importance of freedom of expression and wider human rights with the Government of Ghana. The Prime Minister discussed human rights with President Mahama during their meeting in London on 2 June, reiterating that human rights apply equally to all people. The UK continues to advocate for freedom of expression both bilaterally and through relevant multilateral fora, including through our role as co-chair of the Media Freedom Coalition.
