The question

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, further to Part of a Return to an Address of the Honourable the House of Commons dated 4 February 2026 relating to the appointment of Lord Mandelson as HM Ambassador to Washington, Volume II Part I, HC2-I, published on 1 June 2026, pages 157-161, if he will ask the Registrar of Consultant Lobbyists to review whether Global Counsel properly registered its direct contact with Ministers.

Global Counsel was registered with the Office of the Register of Consultist Lobbyists, on its Register from 10 August 2016.

During the period referred to (at pages 157-161 of Part of a Return to an Address of the Honourable the House of Commons dated 4 February 2026 relating to the appointment of Lord Mandelson as HM Ambassador to Washington, Volume II Part I, HC2-I), Global Counsel was registered as representing a number of clients on whose behalf it carried out activity that required registration with ORCL.
